Empathy

I personally believe Empathy is one of the most misunderstood concepts . People often think it’s just about feeling for someone else, but I think real empathy goes way deeper than that.

It’s stepping outside of your own world and truly seeing things from someone else’s perspective-literally putting yourself in their shoes. It means setting aside your ego, pride, and beliefs, which is honestly hard as hell to do. Even if you haven’t lived through what someone else has, you have to imagine walking in their shoes to understand why they feel the way they do.

But instead, we’re so quick to judge and throw in our own feelings, when what we really need to do is put those aside and focus on the other person. There’s no excuse for disrespecting someone or acting like what their feelings don’t matter just because their experiences or beliefs don’t match yours. Come to a medium! That’s why so many relationships fail( not just intimate relationships).

If you really want to know and understand someone, you have to mentally step into their shoes and ask: how would I feel? How would I react if I were in their place? That’s the only way to build real connection and compassion.
